Kingman turquoise comes from the Mineral Park mining district in the Cerbat Mountains of northwestern Arizona. Turquoise has been mined in this area for centuries, long before commercial mining began in the late 1800s, and the deposit remains one of the best-known sources of American turquoise. Kingman is especially prized for its wide range of blues and greens and the distinctive matrix found in many of its stones.
